Your Privacy is Important to Us.

A-1 Mortgage, Inc. (“A-1” or “we”) is an independent residential mortgage broker. “You” or “your” denotes interviewee, customer, or loan applicant. At A-1, your privacy is our primary concern. We understand that you entrust us with your private personal and financial information to help us qualify you for a loan with a bank, or lender who can meet your needs. In exchange for your trust, you expect and deserve our commitment to treat your information with respect. Rest assured that we protect your privacy. Under no circumstances will we sell or share any personal information about you to or with any person or organization except: as authorized by you, to our affiliate: Dinger & Johnson Insurance & Financial Services, to participating lenders, real estate professionals or other parties involved in your transaction, or as may be required by law or court order. Real estate professionals include credit reporting agencies, appraisers, and title insurance/escrow companies. The Privacy Policy below describes the standards we adhere to in handling information about you and your loan request.

This notice describes our current privacy policy and practices.

We want you to be aware of:
- Who we are,
- Information we may collect,
- How your information is used, and
- How our Privacy Policy is monitored through alteration and change

1. Who We Are. A-1 is a mortgage brokerage that provides residential mortgage loans to consumers with a variety of loan programs. Every borrower has different needs, every property is unique, and every lender has their own rules and programs. Therefore, we tailor loans to fit your needs based on your current income and how long you intend to own the property.

2. Information We Collect. We may obtain information from public records directly from those entities. We may collect non-public personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on loan applications or through a direct interview with you;
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others; and
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

3. How your information is used. Sharing information with our participating lenders and real estate professionals. At your direction the information that you provide to us will be sent to a lender or lenders. Lenders will also receive your credit history when they review your loan application. Lenders and real estate professionals may keep and use your information whether or not you qualify for a loan with them or use their services. We recommend that you contact them directly for more information about their specific privacy policies.
Sharing information with third parties. The following is an example of how A-1 may act as an agent for our participating lenders and real estate professionals. A lender may instruct us to share information with an appraiser to prepare an appraisal of the property to be mortgaged, with a flood certification provider to determine whether the property lies in a flood plain, or with a title insurance or escrow company. In such situations, we will be acting on behalf of you, the consumer, or the lender, then under the authority of the lender's privacy policy, a copy of which you may request and receive directly from the lender. All of the information-sharing we do as agent for the lender would be permissible under applicable state or federal law for the lender to do directly.

A-1 is the principle owner of the information collected by interview or on the residential loan application provided by you. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this policy statement.

From time to time, A-1 may notify you about a special offer from our affiliate or from one of our promotional partners. At your request, A-1 will not send you any information or offers unrelated to your request for financing. If you do not wish to receive any of these offers, please correspond with us in writing so that we can remove you from our mailing list.

4. Altering or changing your information you submit. You may be able to review and change personal information in an active loan application that you completed through A-1. If you believe that any information is incomplete or inaccurate, you may request that we make the necessary corrections, additions or deletions to the disputed customer information. Within thirty (30) days of your request, we will either; a) correct, amend or delete the portion of the recorded personal information; or b) notify you of our refusal to make the requested correction, amendment or deletion. In the event you disagree with our refusal to make the requested correction, amendment or deletion, you have the right to file a concise statement setting forth a) what you believe is the correct, relevant or fair information; and b) the reasons why you disagree with our refusal to correct, amend or delete the recorded personal information.

Deleting your information. Federal and state regulations require that we store completed loan requests for various periods of time. In order to comply with these regulations, we cannot delete information from our physical files or electronic databases.

We restrict access to your personal and account information. We maintain strict policies and security controls to assure that your information in our computer system and physical file is protected. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect your personal information.

If we make a change to our Privacy Policy in the future that will affect how we treat your information, we may notify you of the change. In that case, your ability to opt out of the new policy will be determined by applicable laws and we will include that information in our notification. If the change impacts how we use your information, we may notify you even if you have requested that we not contact you.
